What is the Center for the Study of Communication-Design?
The Center for the Study of Communication-Design (CSCD) is an academic unit at Osaka University established in 2005 to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the emerging field of communication-design. Our members share a common interest in undertaking research and teaching about human communication by working together across a wide range of fields. A major focus at CSCD is to foster collaborative campus-community partnerships with community groups to build a comprehensive understanding of human communication about issues that impact everyday life.
We offer approximately forty graduate courses in specific communication-design areas as part of general education for all Osaka University graduate students. We also host visiting professors and post-doctoral scholars to enrich our programs.
