1 What are your Educational Activities at the Center for the Study of Co*Design?
I am mainly responsible for designing and teaching problem-based learning modules that can develop transferable skills. I also teach Ph. D students from varied backgrounds about global health as well as about leadership and innovative approaches to problem-solving through organizing a wide range of overseas programs with various entities, from field study trips to low- to middle-income countries to student internship programs in middle- to high-income countries for the Cross-Boundary Innovation Program.
2 What Research are you involved in?
One of my major research focuses is global health, which requires highly interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches within and beyond health sciences. Throughout my career, I have researched on a variety of global health issues such as health policy, global health diplomacy, health promotion and sustainable healthcare.
3 What are your activities with institutions and people outside the center?
I provide consultations on tackling health problems in low- to middle-income countries, promoting sustainable healthcare business in overseas in partnership with corporations, governments and international organizations. I also work with various stakeholders to facilitate the development of a world where people can experience healthier and more fulfilling lives through global health initiatives by organizing various events and writing in the media on global health.
